Traveling in 2018

Hello 2018! It's a new year which means new destinations to explore this year. In 2017 I traveled to 4 different countries:

  • Sardinia - Italy
  • Brussels - Belgium
  • Hong Kong
  • Okinawa, Osaka, Nara, Kyoto - Japan
I would have loved to travel more last year however I had to save for Japan and do not regret it! I will do a separate post on this and share my experience as I highly recommend this to travelers who are looking for an insight of Japan. Stay tuned!

So far this year I have booked the following in:

March: Paris, France
There was a Eurostar deal back in January to travel for £29 one way and I thought I'd take advantage of it, of course getting a return journey totaling it to only £58! It will also be a new experience for me to travel for the first time on the Eurostar - very handy if you live in London!

April: Amsterdam
Did you know you can also travel from London to Amsterdam on the Eurostar starting in April 2018? If only I knew this sooner - unlucky timing! Although flights are usually cheap to Amsterdam but it's great to know this is another viable option to travel.

May: Dubai
I have only stopped in Dubai for a layover flight and I can only tell you the airport is huge with many shops and restaurants to explore. This time I will be visiting the country properly, mainly going for a hen do so a lot of activities will be involved!

August: Trolltunga, Norway
This will be a new type of holiday for me or should I say hiking experience. I will be doing a 10-12 hour hike to Trolltunga which is one of the most scenic cliffs in Norway. I did a hike in Snowdonia, Wales last year which was tough due to the crazy, unexpected weather conditions - trekking through heavy snow at the top of the mountains! Therefore I expect training is much needed to prepare myself for a long hike but I know this will be the most rewarding achievement gained once I've completed the journey to the top. If you have not seen photos, do check it out as the views look spectacular!

I hope to travel more this year and to be able to share my experiences on here. At the moment you can catch me on Instagram for regular updates:
